Motivational Monday!

I needed motivation for today and I found this cool quote!

Don't compare yourself to anybody else,
Only compare yourself to the person you were yesterday!

Happy Monday!

3 Rules to live by!

There are 3 rules I live by when trying to lose weight:
1- Cut pop and sugar out of your diet! Slowly if you can't quit cold turkey.
2- Eat whole grains only, no white flour, and eat it before 2pm!
3- DON'T eat after 6pm! Everything you eat after 6 doesn't have time to burn off before your body slows down for bed, so it turns to fat.
Try just changing these few things as you can and you will see a big difference on the scale!
Watch your body and see how it responds, you know you best! I also recommend a cleanse. Your body can store like up to 8-10 lbs of crap! Literally!
The cleanse I use and love it called Cleanse For Life, check it out here!
I have to cleanse once a month, and it helps keep my weight down, so try it, see your results and let me know!
Give it a try, you ain't got nothing to lose but POUNDS!

Leg Day!

Today was leg day I love it! My legs are like noodles but it feels so good! I had my protein shake after my workout and it is so good! I weighed this morning and was down to 116.5! Woo Hoo! I found this saying today as I was stretching to start my workout, dreading the pain I was going to feel and it said:

"Don't stop when it hurts stop when your done!"

I liked that and it got me pumped to get through my workout! It's so true, I tell the ladies I train at work the same thing, once it starts to burn keep going, it's working, don't stop when it hurts keep going!

It was awesome to be able to measure 4 of my ladies I trained a month ago, this week and see that they have all lost at least an inch everywhere, and some had lost 3 inches on their waists. And they were all down 5-10 lbs!!!! I was o excited for them!

I am motivated to stay strong, stick with it, push myself and see results!

Week 1 Results

Finished week 1 and posting pictures of my body. No too much change of course but I have lost 5 lbs this week, so still going strong! I am not worried about the scales so much as I am with my clothes fitting better, because as I lose fat I am building muscle and muscle weighs more than fat! At work last night I re-did my body fat test and I have lost 3% body fat also.

I love this saying my mom has always told me, and I have had to keep thinking about it this week as I have struggled:

"If You Always Do What You've Always Done, You'll Always Get What You've Always Got!"

It has stuck with me my whole life and it applies to everything we do! IT's true, if I keep eating and doing nothing I will never change my body, so words to live by!

On to Week 2:

Week 1

This first week has been a challenge! I have cut out carbs, soda, sugar & white flour. I have been working out for an hour a day, except for Saturday and Sunday. It was my birthday this last week so sticking to this plan has been a struggle! I have given myself one cheat meal a week so I can stick to the plan. My recovery protein shakes after my workouts seem to also help with my sweet cravings ! Hopefully this continues to get easier each week!

The first two days were killer trying to get off the pop . I had a huge migraine but after about the middle of the second day it started to subside . If your thinking of following a program, stick with it! I am feeling awesome now, and still going strong!

I am still doing my weight lifting techniques and already seeing some changes on the scale!

I will be posting pictures after my first week on Wednesday so check back soon!

The Starting Point!

WEEK 1

Most of my adult life I have been heavy. I was in a really bad marriage that drove me to eat and I was always depressed! I was raised in a home where fitness was just a way of life. I was very active as a child but after I had my first baby, my bad marriage, depression and no exercise, I lost my battle to stay fit! I was pushing 190 when I had my first child and that was devastating! I tried to exercise at home, because I wasn't allowed to join a gym, but it wasn't enough.

My father is a Strength coach and has helped a lot of people in his lifetime with weight loss, toning, strength, injuries and so on. He would always tell me to come work out with him like I did when I was younger. I couldn't do it, I just didn't have the self esteem or ambition to go. After about 6 years of marriage to my Ex husband I finally got the guts to leave. Best decision of my life!! I was free! I looked at myself in the mirror for a long time and kept hearing the words he would always say to me, "No one will ever want you, look at you, your fat and you have 4 kids, no one will ever Love you!" I took that saying and I ran with it! In the first 2 months of being divorced I dropped 30 lbs, I enrolled in school to obtain my Pharmacy Technicians License, since he refuse me to work outside the home, and aspired to take over my life! I got my self esteem back! After about 2 and a half months I went and bought me some new clothes because I had my first of many dates! And "HE" said I would never be wanted again! HA!

I kept dropping the weight, and as I did, my dad was there to teach me the things I needed to help me keep going! I am happily remarried to the love of my life now, who supports me and loves me and encourages me too! I dedicate this blog to them and to myself to see this transformation happen!

I am going full force now with the TOTAL TECHNIQUES my dad has taught me and everyone should be able to see the incredible power of what my father teaches! Each week I will be posting new photos of my progress. On Wednesdays I will be posting 1 new technique you can apply to your daily exercise program, and other fun stuff the remaining days of the week!
